Vagustim V2 Plus is a non-invasive auricular vagus nerve stimulation device for investigators who need to specify a stimulation protocol, hold it constant across a cohort, and report exactly what was delivered. If you are designing a human study, or a preclinical one, we would like to hear about it.

Most consumer devices ship with preset programmes and hidden parameters. V2 Plus was built the other way round: placement, parameters and current are adjustable, sessions can be followed and controlled remotely, and everything that was delivered can be exported.
Both ears, left only or right only, from the same device.
Frequency, pulse width, duty cycle and session duration.
Intensity set per participant and recorded with each session.
Follow sessions and adherence, including take-home arms.
Assign and adjust parameter profiles from a distance.
Session logs exported for analysis and supplements.
Frequency, pulse width, duty cycle, session duration and current intensity are set directly. The protocol in your methods section is the protocol that is delivered, and another lab can reproduce it afterwards.
Each profile defines placement (both ears, left only or right only) along with its parameter set. Active and control arms run on identical hardware, and delivery stays constant across a cohort and across sites.
Follow sessions as they happen, adjust profiles remotely, and export every session with its parameters, current and duration. Adherence and dose become measured variables, not assumptions.
The V2 Plus is the model used in research settings. It exposes the stimulation parameters directly and supports bilateral or unilateral auricular placement, so active and control conditions can be defined within a single device.
Full electrical specifications, waveform characteristics and conformity documentation are supplied on request for ethics submissions and institutional procurement review.
Sham design for non-invasive auricular vagus nerve stimulation has no settled standard. Earlobe placement, sub-threshold intensity, brief ramp and stop, and no-stimulation controls each trade internal validity against blinding integrity, and the choice shapes what your result can claim. Electrode placement during sham is itself an open methodological question, one our team has published on.
