Vagustim makes auricular vagus activation hardware for research teams who need to specify a protocol, hold it constant across a cohort, and report exactly what was delivered. If you are designing a study, we would like to hear about it.

Most consumer devices ship with preset programmes and hidden parameters. V2 Plus was built the other way round: placement, parameters and current are adjustable, sessions can be followed and controlled remotely, and everything that was delivered can be exported.
Both ears, left only or right only, from the same device.
Frequency, pulse width, duty cycle and session duration.
Intensity set per participant and recorded with each session.
Follow sessions and adherence, including take-home arms.
Assign and adjust parameter profiles from a distance.
Session logs exported for analysis and supplements.
Frequency, pulse width, duty cycle, session duration and current intensity are set directly. The protocol in your methods section is the protocol that is delivered, and another lab can reproduce it afterwards.
Each profile defines placement (both ears, left only or right only) along with its parameter set. Active and control arms run on identical hardware, and delivery stays constant across a cohort and across sites.
Follow sessions as they happen, adjust profiles remotely, and export every session with its parameters, current and duration. Adherence and dose become measured variables, not assumptions.
The V2 Plus is the model used in research settings. It exposes the activation parameters directly and supports bilateral or unilateral auricular placement, so active and control conditions can be defined within a single device.
Full electrical specifications, waveform characteristics and conformity documentation are supplied on request for ethics submissions and institutional procurement review.
Sham design for auricular vagus activation has no settled standard. Earlobe placement, sub-threshold intensity, brief ramp and stop, and no-activation controls each trade internal validity against blinding integrity, and the choice shapes what your result can claim. Electrode placement during sham is itself an open methodological question, one our team has published on.
Backed by 60+ scientific studies and used in research across leading universities and institutes.
Reported outcomes
Each figure is an outcome reported in a single study population using Vagustim for auricular vagus activation. These are not pooled or meta-analytic effects: designs, sample sizes, comparators and parameters differ between studies.
Results in specific study populations. Individual results may vary. Request the full study library below to read the source papers.
We are a device manufacturer with a commercial interest in this field. Being explicit about that at the start is better for your study and for our credibility, so here is the exchange.
Quoted per study and invoiced to the institution, with quantities matched to your arms and an attrition allowance.
On frequency, pulse width, duty cycle and placement, drawing on protocols already used in published work.
For ethics submissions and procurement: specifications, conformity records and safety information.
So session logs reach your analysis pipeline in a usable form.
For the duration of data collection, so a hardware fault does not cost you a participant.
We do not review results before submission, and we do not ask for approval over what you publish.
Of the protocol and primary outcome, where the design allows it.
In the funding or conflict of interest statement, in whatever form your journal requires.
So we can list it and learn from it.
If our engineers contribute intellectually, that is a conversation. If they do not, they are acknowledged, not listed.
Four steps, each with a named person on our side. Most studies move from inquiry to shipped units within a few weeks of ethics approval.
The form below. A paragraph on the question you are asking is worth more to us than a completed spec sheet.
Thirty minutes with someone who knows the hardware and the literature. We will tell you if auricular vagus activation is the wrong tool for your question.
A written parameter set for your arms, plus a quotation and the documentation your ethics committee and procurement office will ask for.
Units configured and shipped, a session with your research staff, and a named contact for the duration of data collection.
Everything here helps us answer usefully rather than generically. If a field does not apply yet, leave it. An early stage idea is a fine reason to write.
Every inquiry is answered by a named person, usually within five working days. Prefer email? Write to sales@vagustim.io.
